Hello,

Seeing as there is 5 inches of snow on the ground outside and as I intend to stay in the warm I thought it was a good time to catch up on the HSHHR blog.

Well as you may have already read on our ‘happy endings’ page Neve and Nigella found new homes. So 3 gorgeous girls from the ‘N’ litter are left for re-homing. We have a few new additions. Toffee is back with us as he was re-homed with a couple on the understanding he would come back to us once it was time for them to move abroad. He’s an older boy now but very sweet and friendly. He will go up for re-homing hoping someone will want to give this golden oldie a retirement home. We also had our first Chinese hamsters. Wasabai and Noodles were left on someone’s doorstep. They are very sweet, now take food from us and are easily handled. Sadly they had a fight and had to be separated but are doing well. While we were doing our bi -weekly trip to our local pet store this little face appeared in one of the pets for adoption cages. He was named Sid Vicious and was meant to live up to his name. We asked to see him. The shop assistant was too scared to get him out so Neal scooped him up straight up…not a squawk or sign of aggression. Needless to say he came home with us. We think he maybe blind in one eye which would explain any aggression. He’s very shy but we are working with him and making progress. He is already coming to the cage for treats when we talk to him. Sid will stay with us.

Alberto and Baz sadly passed away. We may not of had Alberto for very long but we are happy he came to us instead of being left in that awful, truly awful pet shop.

If anyone reads this website and would like to make comments I’d like to set up a comments page. So if you have re-homed a hamster from us or read this blog please email us with your comments. It would be greatly appreciated.

Finally, we would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Wonderful New Year.
